FSC® Certification
Responsibly Sourced Timber You Can Trust
We believe good building starts with good forestry. That’s why we’re proud to be FSC® certified (Licence Code: INT-COC-001347).
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) sets the standard for responsible forest management worldwide. Its certification means that many of the timber and sheet material prodcust we supply come from forests managed to protect wildlife, support local communities and keep woodland healthy for future generations.
What this means for you
- Traceable from forest to finished product. Our Chain of Custody certification means FSC-certified materials are tracked at every stage, so the wood you buy is the wood it claims to be.
- Independently audited. Our certification is checked regularly by an accredited third-party body, not self-declared.
- Good for your project. Specifying FSC-certified materials can support sustainability requirements for trade, commercial and public-sector work.
Our commitment
We source FSC Mixed materials wherever we can, and we’re always working to widen our certified range. If you need certification paperwork for a project, just get in touch at [email] and we’ll be happy to help.
You can verify our certification at info.fsc.org using our licence code above.
Wood Recyling and Watse
Doing More With Every Tree
Sustainability isn’t a single certificate for us. It runs through how we buy, how we work and what we do with the leftovers.
Sourced responsibly
We buy our timber from suppliers who manage their forests sustainably, replanting what they harvest and protecting the habitats around them. Where possible we choose FSC®-certified and [locally grown / UK-grown] timber, which also cuts down on transport miles. We’d rather work with suppliers we know and can check than chase the cheapest price.
Giving timber a second life
Good wood shouldn’t go to waste. Offcuts too small to sell as stock are offered at a reduced price or donated.
Recycling our waste
What can’t be reused gets recycled. Sawdust and shavings go to [animal bedding / biomass fuel / composting, wood waste goes to a licensed recycling partner, and we recycle our packaging, pallets, plastic and cardboard wherever we can.
Our promise
We’re always looking for ways to waste less and source better. If you have a question about where a particular product comes from do get in touch at info@ashleytimbre.co.uk and we’ll be glad to tell you.
